Clubs and Organizations

Cub Scout Pack 395
Cub Scouts is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade that incorporates a “learn by doing” approach. Cub Scouting focuses on building character, improving physical fitness, teaching practical skills, and developing a spirit of community service.

Student Council
The Visitation of Our Lady Middle School Student Council is a service organization. Some of our responsibilities are to collect can goods from the student body for the parish food bank and act as hosts/hostees for guests visiting our school.
The students elected to the Student Council represent the school both on campus and off campus; therefore, the students must be responsible, cooperating role models. During the installation of the council, the members take an oath to promote school spirit and good citizenship. The members light a candle during the installation to show that they represent the “Light of Christ” in our school. Meetings are mostly held at lunch break.

Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts is a national organization that builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. The troops participate in earning patches, camping, service projects and other fun activities through the year.
Library Club
The Library Club is a service oriented club in which members perform a variety of tasks necessary to maintain the school’s library and keep it running smoothly. Students in grades 5 – 7 are invited to participate in this organization. Each member is ask to donate their break time for only one day a week. During this time, students are ask to perform some of the following duties:
- Pick up books from classes and bring to the library
- Cover paperback books with contact paper
- Put labels on pockets and spines of books
- Re-shelve books that have been returned
HALO Club
The HALO Club is a club that focuses on mission and service. The HALO Club members sponsor several fund-raising activities throughout the year to benefit organizations in need. In the past we have supported St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Holy Childhood Association, Toys for Tots, and several others. The Club also participates in the annual Lenten Mission Assembly which is hosted by the Pontifical Mission Society. The members usually meet once a week after school.
Math Club
- Math Club Members’ Responsibilities:
- Attend all meetings after school
- Be willing to actively participate in solving challenging word problems
- Be willing to participate in local math competitions held on Saturdays (1-3 per school year)
